            Have you ever thought about if kids or adults with down syndrome have intelligence? Well, I have, and I have recently read an article about Down Syndrome and if kids that have it are intellectually inclined like kids without it. To find this out people with Down Syndrome have to take IQ tests and then compare them with IQ tests of kids and adults without Down Syndrome. In the article I read it tells you all about intelligence of Down Syndrome kids.

            The article I read was a blog titled Down Syndrome: The Measure of Intelligence. What I got from it was a mother was blogging about her son’s ability and having Down Syndrome could affect how he reacts to taking an IQ test. She says that kids, not only her son, that are going to take the IQ would not react as well as other kids. The results from their IQ tests would not be accurate. She wrote that they wouldn’t be accurate because kids and adults with Down Syndrome wouldn’t react the same to taking the IQ Test as kids and adults that don’t have Down Syndrome.

            This mother claims that the people giving the IQ tests to the kids and adults that have Down Syndrome don’t understand that they sometimes cannot explain how they answer or even how to answer the question. When this happens the kids and adults then get docked points for not having the ability to answer the question or explain why they answered how they answered. She wants people who study this very thing to come up with an alternative test for people who have Down Syndrome, so they have a fair advantage to taking the IQ test.

            She discovered through a Google research that the Down Syndrome Research Group at the University of Arizona is working on finding and developing a different form of the IQ test meant for kids and adults with Down Syndrome to take. She found that knowing this was big news that someday there might be an IQ test meant for kids and adults with Down Syndrome. She was so excited that she contacted the professor that oversaw this develop of the tests. The professors name was Jamie Edgin, she is a developmental psychologist and one of the groups’ lead researchers. This mother than had an interview with Jamie Edgin about her research. In Jamie’s research she found that kids and adults with Down Syndrome would take a different test they might be able to actually figure out there real IQ.

            In conclusion, kids and adults with Down Syndrome would actually take a different version of the IQ test they might be able to actually figure out there real IQ. I found this super interesting because I believe that some kids and adults with Down Syndrome are really smart but that can’t express how smart they are because their disability doesn’t allow them too. Knowing that in the near future there might be a test that would show how smart kids and adults with Down Syndrome are is amazing.

Who am I?

I am Lexi Wika, the daughter of Mark and Melissa Wika. I am a kind, nice person, who can be a big brat sometimes. I can be mean when I really want to, but mainly I am a nice person who treats people with respect to get respect. I am a person who works hard to get what she wants, and needs. I am a 17-year-old girl who is a senior in high school, is in every club you can be in school, in three different sports, maintains two jobs, and has a boyfriend. I am a person that can be lazy but when I need to get something done I get it done and don’t complain about it. I am a person that can maintain composure under pressure and can handle just about any situation, except when I get scared. When I get scared I panic and then I don’t know what to do. I am a person who fears spiders, mice, the dark, being alone, heights, and snakes. I am a person who doesn’t always listen to my parents. I don’t always get along with my siblings. But all of this makes up who I am. I am a 17-year-old girl who has dreams of going to college and getting a Bachelor’s degree to become a Radiologist Technician. I am a person that hopes to get married and have kids later in life. I am also a person who plans on living in a nice home with my future family, having fun and enjoying life. All of these things come together to make up who I am and whoever doesn’t like can frig off.

Who do people think I am?

I think people think of me as a, quiet, kind person. But, some people might think I am a big brat. I hope people think of me as a nice person, and that I care about other people and things.

Response to "Judge Rejects Couple's Argument for Refusing Gay Customers." Article

I believe that the judge should have not rejected the couple’s argument. They shouldn’t have been denied by the photography business. It is wrong every person, couple, whatever it may be has their own rights as a person, just because you are gay, bi, straight, you still should have the same rights as everyone else. I believe that the judge should have listened to the couple and gave them the chance to speak what they wanted, because it is one of their rights according to the constitution. I feel that beans the judge didn’t give the couple a chance to speak it was violating the 14^th amendment. The couples right to the 14^th amendment was violated because they didn’t get equal rights. If it was with a couple that was a male and a female the photography business would have allowed to shoot their wedding pictures. But beans it was a same-sex marriage the photography business denied the couple. This is just wrong, they are just like every other human on this planet, except they don’t like the opposite gender. Love is love it doesn’t matter if you are gay, bi, straight everyone should have the same rights and eligibility, just like it says in the U.S. Constitution.

Earliest Memory

Earliest Memory: I was almost 2 when I would do this memory. Going to my Grandma Norma's house and standing in her kitchen cupboard watching her cook and wash dishes.

Analysis: I think this is my first memory because my parents would always tell me stories about when I would stand in the cupboard at my grandma's house and show me pictures of me standing in the cupboard. I also think this is my first memory because I always get reminded by my family that the cupboard was the first place I would always go when I got to my grandma's house. I believe it stays in my mind because I always look at the pictures of me standing in the cupboard at my grandma's house.

Earliest Lie: I was around 4 when I remember telling my first lie. In my now current bedroom, it used to be our toy room I would always color on the walls with marker, crayon, basically anything I could get my hands on. I would always blame it on my siblings and I would never get in trouble because I was the oldest and they always believed me that I never did anything wrong. Things have changed since I was 4.

Propose an Amendment

Proposed Amendment: Making it illegal for all people, professional and nonprofessional for it to be ok that they sit, kneel, or stay in the locker room during the National Anthem. Those that fail to obtain to this amendment shall have to pay a fine that will be determined in the court of law.

Why: Because I think it is morally wrong. People who do this think that they are protesting President Trump, they really aren't. I feel as if the people who are doing this aren't clear on what they are doing, almost as like they are confused. It is wrong because people put their lives on the line to fight for our country so we could have freedom and the flag means freedom was reached. Each color represents something that we can have being free citizens of the United States, and the National Anthem is one way to memorialize the United States flag. I feel as if all the people kneeling, sitting, and staying in the locker room are not respecting the United States flag and the National Anthem. The National Anthem is the song that was wrote stating that we are free and the home of the brave. It says in the song that we are free and we the United States are the home of the brave. The brave are those that chose to give up their life so that ours could be better, and some even died for us. I feel if this Amendment were to get passed that a lot of people would be angry because it is violating their first amendment rights. Well, I feel as if the people that think this are wrong, I feel that they aren’t respecting the flag during the National Anthem and that they are doing wrong by not paying attention during the National Anthem and respecting the flag. I think that people who fail to obtain standing and putting your right hand over your heart shall have to pay a fine that will be determined in the court of law. I feel that this should be done because going to jail seems too much for a punishment and not doing anything at all is too little of a punishment.

1. This amendment lowered the voting age from 21 to 18. It gave young adults the age of 18 years or older the opportunity to vote.

	o   The 26th Amendment was ratified on July 1st, 1971.This Amendment was made because young men demanded the right to vote. The common slogan that made men think this way was “You are old enough to fight, you are old enough to vote.”
	·         What does this amendment mean today? o   It means that the younger generation can have the right to vote. It lets the young adults that are 18 or older have the right to vote for what they want.
	·         Present examples of current issues involving this amendment. o   There are really no problems with this amendment in present day.
